Our Team

BJ has been teaching with Conahan’s since 2019. He teaches in the classroom as well as behind the wheel. BJ will be running our Greeley office, once it opens in Summer 2025. Aside from being a driving instructor, he also has a second job driving celebrities that come to Denver. His main passions are for film production and his paranormal/film podcasts. He produces many of the videos you see on our website and social media account.

He also loves to travel and has been to many countries around the world.

Flory and her husband have loved living in Colorado since 1996. She is a huge fan of spending time with family, traveling and fitness. Flory enjoyed a career in the home mortgage industry for 26 years and retired in January 2023. As a Driving Instructor providing in-car driving lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, Flory has a passion for teaching safe driving habits and a commitment to doing the best to ensure students are proficient in the skills necessary to pass the driving test, navigate highways, byways and Colorado mountain roads. 

Foster is one of Conahan’s primary Classroom Instructors and does Behind the Wheel instruction as well. He was instrumental in revamping the Conahan’s Classroom Curriculum to adhere with State and National Driver’s Education standards for 2024. He is a lifelong educator and learner who loves working at Conahan’s!  He enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and playing with his dog, as well as playing golf.  He looks forward to working with all of our future students.

Jacobi Restad was raised in Fort Collins and is a Poudre High School and CSU Alumni. While attending college he worked as a high-school tutor. Later, he worked at the greatest toy store in the world: Clothes Pony and Dandelion Toys in old town, for 5 years. Jacobi discovered he had a passion for cars and motorsports at a young age. You can ask him anything about cars and he’s more than happy to talk your ear off over the smallest detail. He is a member of the Sports Car Club of America and regularly participates in racing. He says, however, that he never does very well because he’s such a “slow driver.” He has worked as a professional driver for the last 2 years.

Jacobi is very excited to share his passion for driving with students.

Rick has been teaching with Conahan’s since 2021. He is one of our Behind the Wheel instructors and he is certified to administer the State of Colorado Driver’s License Road exams. He likes reading and hanging with his wife, loves animals, and he is currently working on a complete Batman comic run.

Grem Armstrong is a retired business owner. He moved to Colorado in 1974.  He’s been friends with the Conahan family for decades, and worked with printing and assembling our classroom workbooks in the 90s. His favorite activity is spending time with his grandkids. He loves to go rock crawling in his Jeep, and enjoys skiing and hiking. He loves working with kids and teaching them how to drive. We are very grateful to have Grem available to us and our students!

Matt is a native of Colorado, he is originally from the Fort Collins and Loveland areas. Matt brings Conahan’s much experience on the road, and excited to share that with his students. He believes that driving can be fun, and that students learn best when they are in a positive and comfortable learning environment. He also says that he “has good human friends, but his best friends are dogs.” Matt is a fantastic addition to our team!

Jeff has been a Behind the Wheel instructor with Conahan’s since 2022. He is a seasoned outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing, and kayaking, all while enjoying the tunes of Merle Haggard. He spent 20 years running his own trucking company, balancing the demands of the road with his love for nature. Now retired from trucking, Jeff continues to embrace his favorite pastimes with the same dedication he once brought to his business.

Robb was born in 1951 in the Continental US, has led a vibrant and adventurous life. He has worked as an educator for 30 years, spent 15 years at Whole Foods, and has been saving lives as a Behind-the-Wheel Instructor at Conahan’s Driving School since 2022. His diverse experiences include sailing as a third mate on an oil tanker, hitchhiking across Europe, participating in American/Soviet Peacewalks, and winning an NPR award for investigative journalism with KCSU. He has been a percussionist in local Fort Collins bands since 1989, and he enjoys body surfing the Atlantic, reading, and spending time with his wife, Nina, and their kitty, Kitty.
